In 2007, our program was designed by Chef Azmin Ghahreman, in concert with several leading pediatric and family practice specialists. Our Nutritional Advisory Board – of doctors, educators, dietitians, chefs, and business leaders, provides expert opinions and counsel to our culinary team, creating a unique and dynamic resource we offer to our schools.
Our food service program is based primarily on the Healthy Eating Plate. We rely on healthy whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, nutrition legumes, herbs, and spices, accompanied by servings of fish and seafood, poultry and eggs, natural dairy products, fresh or flash-pasteurized natural juices, and, in spare amounts, sweets such as homemade cookies.
