Dining Card Program Currently For Sage Hill School Only

THE SAPPHIRE AT SCHOOL™ DINING CARD
The Sapphire at School™ program provides a cashless payment system to expedite purchases in the school kitchen and to help busy families monitor and manage student spending. A personal Dining Card is a secure and convenient way for students, faculty, and staff to purchase food and beverages on campus without having to use cash.
GETTING STARTED
To streamline the sale and distribution of Dining Cards at the beginning of the busy school year, pre-loaded Sapphire at School™ Dining Cards will be available with a value of $25 or $50. This nominal amount will give students the ability to use their card at the school kitchen and provide parents the time to register the Dining Card on our website. During the first two weeks of school, Dining Cards will be sold at key parent/student gatherings and at the school kitchen during regular working hours. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and checks ($25 or $50) payable to Sapphire at School™. Please note that during the first two weeks of school we will also accept cash to purchase the $25 or $50 pre-loaded Dining Cards. Cash will NOT be accepted for food and beverage purchases at the school kitchen at any time.
DINING CARD PURCHASE OPTIONS
Dining Cards can be paid for either by check (preferred method) or by credit card. Please make checks payable to Sapphire at School™. Each time the Dining Card is used, the amount of the transaction will be deducted from the balance. To add more purchasing power to a card, the cardholder must create an account on our website and register the card in the cardholder’s name. The balance can be increased as needed either online (credit card) or in-person at the school kitchen (check or credit card).
REGISTER, MONITOR, AND ADD TO A CARD
For Dining Cards to be registered and considered active, accounts must have a minimum balance of $20. You may register your pre-paid Sapphire at School™ Dining Card, check your available balance, and add purchasing power to your Card online through a link on your school website or at the Sapphire at School™ website. Click on “Dining Cards” and follow the prompts. For your convenience, on-line purchases will be given an option for a Selective Recharge or an Auto Recharge. You may also reload card balances in-person at the school kitchen (credit card or check) during working hours. Please help us eliminate long checkout lines by handling card purchases and reload transactions prior to the busy lunch hour.
PRIVACY POLICY
Sapphire at School™ will not share personal information gathered to register your card with any third party to market products or services to you. Credit card information is transmitted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology that encrypts the information sent.
CONVENIENCE FEE AND DISCOUNTS
Sapphire at School™ supports and manages the technology required to offer a cashless payment system on campus. Please note that Sapphire at School™ will add a 4% Convenience Fee to the cost of food and beverage purchases at the school kitchen during checkout. This fee is used to cover the cost of hardware, software, network upgrades, and staff support. A discount will be given in the form of a credit on Dining Cards that are purchased with a check ($50 minimum purchase is required). The credit issued on a card may be used for food and beverage purchases only and are as follows:
CREDITS FOR PAYMENT BY CHECK
- $50-$74 will receive a $1 Food and Beverage Credit
- $75-$99 will receive a $2 Food and Beverage Credit
- Every $100 paid by check will receive a $3 Food and Beverage Credit
- Amounts over $100 will receive a combination of credits noted above.
SELECTIVE RECHARGE
Allows cardholders to login to their account and use a credit card to add value to their existing Dining Card. Once the credit card payment is submitted, the requested amount is loaded onto the Dining Card and is available for use. Cardholders may add value to their Dining Card in any increment above $50 and can recharge their Dining Card as often as they like. For Dining Cards to be considered active, accounts must have a minimum balance of $20.
AUTO RECHARGE
Auto recharge allows cardholders to automatically replenish the value of their Dining Card. A cardholder will assign a credit card to their account and when their account balance drops below a designated threshold, the card will automatically be reloaded with a designated amount. Once a cardholder sets up auto recharge, they do not need to intervene. Their credit card statement will reflect the auto recharge transactions like any other auto payment activity. For cards to be considered active, accounts must have a minimum balance of $20. When the Dining Card reaches less than $20 the auto recharge will take place. Set up auto recharge in any increment above $50.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Sapphire at School™ Dining Card is not considered to be a credit card nor a gift card. An active Dining Card may only be used to purchase food and beverage at your participating school kitchen. Cards are registered in the cardholder’s name, are for personal use only, and are non-transferable. Cards must be presented to a server at the time of payment and the amount will be deducted from the balance until available funds are depleted. Any returns or voids for items paid for with a Dining Card will be credited directly to the Dining Card. No cash will be given.
Cards are not redeemable for cash and available funds will not expire. At the end of the school year, balances will be rolled over into the next school year. Funds less than $10 can be returned as required by California law. Participation in the Sapphire at School™ Dining Program is void if prohibited by law in the jurisdiction in which the prospective participant resides. If required by applicable law, or if you violate any of these Dining Card rules or the Terms and Conditions of an offer related to the Dining Card or otherwise improperly interfere or tamper with the operation of the Dining Card or if your account or Dining Card usage shows signs of fraud, abuse or suspicious activity, Sapphire at School™ reserves the right to freeze or close your account, or to take such other action as it deems appropriate.
You are responsible for reading and complying with the Sapphire at School™ Dining Card Terms and Conditions or any offer related to the Dining Card.
LOST, STOLEN, OR DAMAGED CARDS

A new Dining Card and number will be issued. A Replacement Card Fee of $10 per Dining Card will be charged to your account for lost, damaged, or stolen Dining Cards that require cancellation and reactivation. Sapphire at School™ is not responsible for lost or stolen Dining Card balances that are not registered.
